Episode: The charter plane

包机

(Robin and Frank were heading to Makatea. Since their destination was a secluded island, in the last part of the journey, they needed a charter plane to carry them to their dreamed vacation wonderland. Robin first time met Quinn, a gruff, rough-hewn cargo pilot, when she was look for the charter plane.)

罗宾和弗兰克踏上了去Makatea的路上。因为他们的目的地是一个人迹罕至的小岛，所以在他们旅途的最后得乘做一辆包机载他们去那梦寐以求的渡假胜地。罗宾在寻找他们的包机时，首先遇见了奎恩，这是一个声音粗哑，举止粗俗的飞行员。

( In the airport lot. Quinn was changing the plane's engine oil...)

Robin: Could you help me? I'm looking for Tropical Charters.

Quinn: You going to Makatea?你是要去 Makatea？

Robin: Yes.对。

Quinn: Well, we'll be ready in 10--20 minutes.

(The sound of tools and oil dropping...)


Robin: But this---this isn't the plane? (checked the plane with the one printed in the brochure...)但这不是那辆飞机啊？

Quinn: What?什么？

Robin: The plane. Where's its mommy? (Note: Robin implied this plane small like a baby to mommy.)

那辆大的飞机在哪里？

Quinn: Oh, Tropical's plane is laid up in Fiji. We're filling' in. You're in luck. I'm your pilot. Tropical号飞机出了点故障停在了斐济。我们将替代它出航。你很有运气，我就是你的机长。

Robin: Uh--[Nervous chuckle]. No, I can't. No, I, um-- I can't go in this. It's, uh-- It's broken.不，我不能这样去。这辆飞机是坏的。

Quinn: No, it's not broken. It's being maintained. This is my plane.

Robin: uu-huh.不，他没有坏，它正在进行检修。这就是我的飞机。

Quinn: This is the De Haviland Beaver. This is one of the safest; most reliable planes ever built.这是De Haviland Beaver飞机，是最安全、可靠的飞机机型之一。

(Frank came up from back scene...)

Frank: Sweetie, there a problem?亲爱的，有什么问题吗？

Robin: Uh, yes. He, um--. He seems to think we're gonna go in this old thing. (Note: implied the old thing the old and poor state plane.)

Frank: What?什么？

Robin: Uh, I think... I think we could find another charter.我想我们可以令找一辆飞机。

Quinn: You won't find one. There's a boat leaves from the port. It takes three days.

Robin: Honey, Frank.弗兰克，亲爱的。

Frank: All right, all right. Sweetie, I'm sure the plane is perfectly safe, and I'm sure the pilot is a trained professional.

好了，好了，亲爱的。我肯定这辆飞机会很安全的，而且那机长训练有素的专业驾驶员。

Robin: he is the pilot.他就是机长

Frank: He--他

Quinn: Well, if you're going', it'll be 20--30 minutes. Gotta get some oil.

Robin: oil. He 's gonna get some oil now?他现在才去拿机油？


(Seemed there was no more alternatives for Robin and Frank to choose from. They reluctantly got on the small and old thing driven by the gruff guy they didn't trust in very much....)
